The Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra have become fierce competitors of one another over the past few years. The Ford F-150 was initially introduced to the automotive market in 1947 and has since become the best selling pickup truck in America. The Toyota Tundra was first introduced in 2000 and has made a name for itself in the pickup truck market. The Toyota Tundra boasts reliability due to Toyota's well-known reputation for reliability. The 2019 Ford F-150 is offered with six different engine options while the 2019 Toyota Tundra is offered with two different options. The smallest of the six 2019 F-150 engines is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine that produces 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. This 2.7-liter engine is capable of achieving 20 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The most powerful of the six Ford F-150 engines is a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The 2019 Toyota Tundra is powered by two different V8 engine options. The smaller V8 engine is a 4.6-liter engine that produces 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque. The 4.6-liter is capable of achieving 15 miles per gallon in the city and 19 miles per gallon on the highway. The larger of the two engines is a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. The 5.7-liter has been rated for 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the highway.


The 2019 Ford F-150 and 2019 Toyota Tundra offer somewhat similar styling. There are several configurations that are offered for the 2019 F-150 and 2019 Tundra. The 2019 F-150, however, can be purchased as a single cab, extended cab, or crew cab. The 2019 Toyota Tundra does not have a single cab configuration available in its lineup but can be purchased as an extended cab or a crew cab. Both models offer the same 5'5-foot, 6'5-foot and 8-foot bed length configurations which give drivers the ability to carry a variety of items with different sizes.
